Wow, a new version already? Sony has now released firmware version 2.6 in Japan for download. So, what new? Here is a summary of the features:

• Volume Adjustment for location free player

MUSIC

• WMA playback added
• Volume Adjustment for location free player

The update is available via the Network Update feature on your PSP or from the Japanese PlayStation website.

UPDATE:
Firmware 2.6 is now available in the US and UK. You can update via the “Network Update” utility or use the USB cable to update using a PC.
