Rumor Alert: PSP Firmware 4.00 Features

The next firmware release for the PSP could be right around the corner according to a new rumor circling the Internet. The rumor suggests the new firmware, version 4.00, which be released on March 18th 2008 and will feature several new features and improvements to current features. Among the rumored changes in Flash 9 support and the ability to playback Real, Quicktime and WMV audio and video content. Check out the rumored list of features below.
- PLAYSTATION 3 Network titles can be played under PSP [Remote Play] under Game. The PSP is then used as a monitor for any game playable in Playstation 3 game console.
- Real, Quicktime, and WMV audio and video codecs are now supported.
- PSP web browser has been updated to allow compatibility with current websites.
- [Adobe Flash Player 9] has been added as a feature, using the Memory Stick Pro Duo as flash memory.
As usual, there is no official confirmation from Sony so this is classified as a rumor. Look out for more information in coming weeks.

Only if they wud have added a calender and some reminder to it…
those features suck. some of them seem like somebody just sat there and made them up. as if they thought, i wish psp would have better internet. so then they made this fake list. 4.00 better have stuff, like in game XMB. plus in game music. and while theyre at it, just make the whole xmb interface more like the ps3, with playstation network and stuff. not the flash and wmv. no one cares about those.
the chance of sony actually putting these all features in one firmware update is very unlikely. although the flash player upgrade would be nice.
Everybody would be happy about flash 9.
My psp is already 3.80 m33, if i upgraded it to 4.00, will my M33 disappear?
you have to wait till team m33 make their custom fw. 4.00M33. BTW, why you not going on 3.90M33-2?

why not add the ability to wirelessly transfer music like the ipod touch can. Or is going to when they come out with the next update for the ipod touch
Hate hate hate.
So mad at this system sometimes, I always tend to respond to multiple things and hit post. Only then do I find I’m over the arbitrary 200 character limit and lose my entire post.
It’s issues with the website like these that keep me from ever bothering to review one of the 50 games sitting on my shelf or 20 UMD movies. Well, that and I always figure this mag isn’t meant for the US so rating the US version of a game isn’t the most useful of content.
The system is in place for a reason. Who says you have to post a review in the comments section? And actually, the magazine has a large US readership. Maybe if you help these guys out then everyone can enjoy reading the magazine- they are looking for writers.
i think it is too good to be true and thats alot of good stuff to put in one update. one can only hope

I am happy to tell all of you gamers that firmware 4.00 is out, I managed to get it by hacking into SCEJ servers. This update will be available on April 12, 2008 on my website.
