PlayStation 3 Trophy System Explained

We’ve received numerous requests to explain how the PlayStation Network trophy system works in determining your level and number of points. Each trophy you earn represents points, for example, the bronze trophy is worth 15 points, while the platinum trophy is worth a whopping 180 points (which is the equivalent of 12 bronze trophies). Below, you will find a breakdown of each trophy’s value and the thresholds for each level.

Trophy Points:

• Bronze – 15 pts
• Silver – 30 pts
• Gold – 90 pts
• Platinum – 180 pts

Level Thresholds:

• Level 1 – 0 pts
• Level 2 – 200 pts
• Level 3 – 600 pts
• Level 4 – 1,200 pts
• Level 5 – 2,400 pts
• Level 6 – 4,000 pts
• Level 7 – 6,000 pts
• Level 8 – 8,000 pts
• Level 9 – 10,000 pts
• Level 10 – 12,000 pts
• Level 11 – 14,000 pts
• Level 12 – 16,000 pts
• Level 13 – 24,000 pts
• Level 14 – 32,000 pts
• Level 15 – 40,000 pts
• Level 16 – 48,000 pts
• Level 17 – 56,000 pts
• Level 18 – 64,000 pts
• Level 19 – 72,000 pts
• Level 20 – 80,000 pts

Each level above 20 requires a further 8,000 points. So level 21 is 88,000 points and level 22 is 96,000 etc.
